“Everything has both of them inside, ying and yang,
and from their alternate ascendance and descendance
the new life is born”…
Laozi, Tao Te Ching
Every mental / physical aspect of the entire universe must obey the one eternal mathematical law, which can be called ‘’The Synthesis and Synchronicity of all perceived complementary opposites. This law applies equally to all of us and everything else in the universe. We are all made up of TWO. The reality of the universe starts with a 2. The Perfect Order of complementary opposites. Good and bad, angel and devil, light and dark.
All laws of physics are partial reflections of this one eternal mathematical law. This is kind of like a SUPER LAW. The foundation of all the other subordinate mathematical laws of the universe. And this one eternal mathematical law depends on higher metaphysical principles, such as SYMMETRY.
I remember the time I was studying architectural engineering at the university. I was mesmerised by the magical world of symmetry. My boyfriend at the time had a tattoo on his arm with a yin and yang symbol. I wanted to learn more about what it was so I started researching about it. There it was again, SYMMETRY. The Perfect Symmetry of the universe. Everything made up of two opposite parts, the yin and yang. The male and female, the dark and the light, the good and the bad… Emotions, thoughts, colours, physics, perceptions, psychology, sociology, even politics was symmetrical… The Democrats and The Conservatives. It is amazing when you start looking at it…
If we watch a mountain at dawn, we will see a dark side, the side of the mountain exposed to the shadow that is YIN (facing the North) regarding the sunny side that the sun bathes, that is YANG (facing the South). However, when the sun rises and moves around the sky, the heat and the light of the morning move from one hillside to the other in the afternoon. Both sides, the dark and the sunny one converge and alternate. The one that was YANG (bright side) became YING in the morning and the one that was YIN (dark side) in the morning became YANG in the afternoon. We can consider that there is a bright part of the mountain because there is dark part.
When the day becomes night the whole mountain is dark, cold and still. At night, when the moon shines on the mountain, its light is Yang inside the Yin darkness of the night. This is the way the Chinese philosophy explains the meaning of Ying-Yang, The Super Law Of The Universe.
Of course, this law can be explained with mathematics, physics, chemistry… We will eventually come to that.
The Yang becomes the Ying and the Ying becomes the Yang. It is a dynamic symbol. It shows the continuous interaction of two energies and its balance. As such, it is a symbol of harmony. The Ying and theYang are opposed and interdependent. Therefore, the Universe represents the movement and rest. Nature offers energy to engender and grow, to harvest and to store, to end and to begin again. The constant evolution. The yin and yang is a concept based on the duality of everything existing in the universe. Principle, reason and original cause of appearance and disappearance of everything.
THE YIN AND YANG is the natural order of existence that, in fact, cannot be named as opposed to the countless things that have its name, in which the Tao manifests.
It is -at the same time- the unity of all things and the way in which the Universe functions. From this uniqueness arise the Ying and Yang: the world in its endless shapes.
From the “One” arises the “Two“. The Ying-Yang relationship is the universal law of the material world (Duality). In this way, for each force existing in Nature there is an equal and opposed counterforce. The Sky was created due to the accumulation of the Yang that ascended; the Earth was created due to the accumulation of the Yin that descended. Water and Fire are symbols of the Ying and the Yang. The Ying and Yang are a source of energy and the origin of every thing of Creation.
Throughout centuries, philosophers theologians and psychologists have discovered ‘’partial truths’’, ASYMETRICAL or IMBALANCED propositions or subjective biased opinion about human beings, but often confused them with The Whole Truth. The Symmetry. And the moment a partial truth got created, the exact opposite was also there, compensating each other. Like The Democrats and The Conservatives.
The Greek philosopher Heraclitus believed that all things were born in flux, including human understanding. Only when a great truth is found, which is universal eternal, everlasting, then a general Law to guide humans is born. And yet, not many people are after The Universal Laws. Most people are after their biases. They want to be right rather than looking at things with open eyes and an open mind. Many people nowadays, even scientists can be bias about many things.
When you believe in your own ideas and never question yourself, you will not be able to see what is already there, The Truth. That is why having an open mind, leaving your own ideas and concepts behind and connecting with the Monet, with what is has been my objective like many other, on the Path to Self Mastery.
Your ideas won’t work…
I was reading ‘’The Great Ideas’’ by Mortimer J. Adler the other day. In the third chapter, he talks about ‘’The Difference Between Opinion and Knowledge.’’ That is actually the title of the third chapter…
And he asks these questions…
- What sort of objects are the objects of knowledge, as opposed to the objects about which we can only have opinions?
- What is the psychological difference between knowing and opining as acts of the mind?
- Can we have knowledge and opinion as acts of the mind?
- Can we have knowledge and opinion about one and same thing?
- What is the scope of knowledge?
- How much knowledge do we have as opposed to the kind of things about which we can only have opinions?
- What is the limit or scope of opinion in the things of our mind?
Most of all things, I would like you to understand is that children learn opinions in school, not knowledge. All one has to do, is to recall how one learns history and geography. These things, being opinions can only be learned by memorising. But think about geometry for example, that has principles and conclusions.
Aristotle’s insight on this subject is that one man can opine about what other man knows.
We can be thinking the same things but whereas the one man has an opinion, the other man can have the knowledge on that very subject.
I am a teacher dedicated to expanding human consciousness, which means I am dedicated to expanding my own consciousness above all. Which means, I am only interested in Truth, not my opinions, neither yours. And that creates confusion. Why? Because I start sharing what I have found / not what I have been thinking about – and people get offended. The reason they feel offended is because they are not interested in knowing / knowledge, they are rather interested in continuing their stories and being right. There have been many people literally smashing me in social media just because I was expressing my ‘’knowledge.’’
Not many people are interested in knowing the truth. So thank you, for being a member and reading my articles. You must be interested in knowledge. And I will make sure I deliver knowledge, not my own ideas / opinions.
Sokrates was the first teacher to discover the principle of teaching. He opined all the time. It was the first principle of his method. He spoke of it as ‘’cross-examining the pretender to knowledge and wisdom’’. And by cross examination, he was showing them, they were in error, that what they supposed they knew, they actually did not know. That is first reducing them to ignorance so that they could be in the right state of mind to inquire and learn.
If you have been to The Miracle Course, my six days retreat, you probably experienced me using the same method on you. 🙂
Of course, this technique Socrates used was an annoying technique. I myself am sometimes really really annoying to people. And yet, to connect you with your wisdom, that is needed…
My next article will be on Universal Laws. I hope you enjoy it.
